Possibly this one

Seeing wing veins would aid in ID. On these, you mostly look at the body, though. Lots of them flying in Orange County, CA currently.

 
Bad guys
The bad thing about these flies is that they lay their eggs near bee nests and their larvae parasitize the bee larvae. That is why they hang around the same places that bees do.
