metallic fly - Myxosargus
Austin, Wild Connections Butterfly Farm, Travis County, Texas, USA

Size: about 6 mm
There were two of these little flies jostling for position on a passionflower vine (the small light specks on the leaf are spider mite damage). It seems to match the other image in this genus, but I cannot find any other information or photos to help confirm the ID.
