Phidippus audax face - Phidippus audax - female

Phidippus audax face - Phidippus audax - Female
Bixby, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, USA
March 18, 2009
Size: ~1cm body length
Bold Jumping spider, I'm guessing a female. This shot is a close face shot taken with a Nikon D60, Nikkor 55-200mm and a reversed Nikkor 18-55mm in front of that. Edited in Adobe Lightroom. Spider was unusually cooperative for an audax; usually they never sit still and live up to their common name of Bold Jumping Spider!
