Pelegrina? - Pelegrina pervaga - male

Pelegrina? - Pelegrina pervaga - Male
Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma, USA
April 3, 2009
Size: ~3-4mm
Found this pretty little guy on a log today and was quite pleased to see that he was a new species for me.

Looks to be some sort of Pelegrina male (possibly Eris?... probably not - just a guess)

Any help?

Sorry
I can't help, but if it is a Pelegrina maybe this will help someone else ID.

I can't tell a pervaga from a sabinema or a kastoni, although at least one of them is in OK.

Pelegrina pervaga!
Thanks for your help.

Tolweb's Pelegrina page is the first place I checked as well.

I just got an e-mail back from Dr. Wayne Maddison, and he confirmed that this guy is a Pelegrina pervaga:

"...absolutely, pervaga. A beauty! They're probably common in the
junipers or other conifers."

A new species for the guide too if I'm not mistaken!

Thanks
