Aoplonema nigrum...
The black femora, the large distance between the eyes, etc., strongly suggest A. nigrum. In addition, the predation of blister beetles by this speices was interestingly recorded.

I don't know exactly.
It may be polyphagus like many other mirids.

Here is a similar looking bug also found in southern california... unfortunately, that one hasn't got an ID yet either.

 
Yep, it looks like Aoplonema sp.
I will review the paper again and try to get some idea about species ID.
