Near Karr Creek at Hwy 68, East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, USA
April 19, 2008
Size: body length 11.3 mm.
We believe this is a Longhorned Beetle. It appears to be a good match for Typocerus zebra.
Proper placement would be appreciated.

Spotted in South East Texas
found on my dead wood borders in my garden. driving its rear-end into minute cracks along the woods surface.

such a striking head and color.
