Found on sand under wrack on Pacific coast beach.

I'm thinking E. basalis but will try to rustle up the key. Keyed to E. basalis.

what goofy Melyrids! Did you prepare these in any special fashion so that their vesicles stayed everted?

No. They were mounted very shortly after being removed from alcohol and hence the vesicles were still filled. They have since shrunk down. Those in the cervical area are still visible (flattened), but the abdominal ones have pretty much disappeared.
