Nice images
These macro shots of the terminalia are superb.

Thanks Ben!
I have been trying something new, inspired by Tim Moyer's set-up (see Lady Beetles section)... I simply took the stereo microscope off its mount and put a camera in its place, with an old 105 mm macro and 2x converter (I am using a Nikon D-300, which is a 12 megapixel camera, which belongs to my workplace) and secured all in place with the set screws for the microscope. I then set the focus at minimum distance to maximize magnification and do the final focus with the coarse focus wheel of the 'scope mount. With Odonata, 2x life size is pretty good, even for things as small as the terminalia of Bluet damsels. The rest of the zoom is done digitally, which is still OK, since the images are shot in raw format and give 12 megapixels...So, expect more shots soon, as I am pulling out all the specimens in my collection and will be trying to get good shots of their "naughty bits" too ;)
