Identification
Prosternum setose, first postsutural supra-alar smaller than first postsutural dorsocentral, "Bend of M a right angle; the portion beyond bend sinuous, curving toward apex. An extra smaller bristle usually present between second and third postsutural supra-alar bristles."(2) Genera are keyed in couplets 107-115 of the Tachinidae chapter of Manual of Nearctic Diptera (without explicitly using the term Exoristini). The only distantly related genus Exoristioides will match this description except that the bend in vein M is slightly rounded and there is a very long bristle on the anepimeron.
