very bright red. loads of them on tomato plant.

Moved from Macrosiphum. We've moved the images of aphids on rose plants back to genus level, because we're not sure how to distinguish Rose and Potato Aphids, but as far as we know the Potato Aphid is the only one that looks like this that is found on nightshades.

Probably a red aphid known as the Potato Aphid. It also goes for pome fruits, tomatoes, and just about anything else.
