Giprus
This is a west-coast genus allied to Laevicephalus, but brownish. These sharp-headed leafhoppers have the outer anteapical cell on the forewing (the one with crossveins connecting it to the margin)elliptical or highly reduced in size, not the usual quadrangular shape.

Thanks, Andy
I knew you'd know!

If an editor sees this, we need a new page for Giprus.

Your wish is my command... Wow, what a find! A whole new genus for the guide. Good work, my friend.

(And, as always, thanks to Andy for all the wonderful work he does identifying images.)

Thanks, Harsi
We now have more than 1,000 species at the UCI website.

And there was much rejoicing!!
Well, I'm glad I at least managed to contribute one species before you hit your benchmark... I keep looking through my files, but you guys have everything covered pretty well and I just haven't spent that much time yet photographing in the OC.
