Orange Syrph - Teuchocnemis bacuntius - female

Orange Syrph - Teuchocnemis bacuntius - Female
South of Louanne, Ouachita County, Arkansas, USA
April 11, 2009
Size: 22mm-24mm
For some gestalt reason I think this is something close to Myolepta but I don't know which species this is. Striking red-orange things and very wary in the pine woods.

Moved
Moved from Syrphid Flies.

Nice find, Herschel
