Knab's Leaf Beetle ? - Chrysomela knabi
Konawa, Seminole County, Oklahoma, USA

Size: 5mm (3/16")
I first thought this was Knab's Leaf Beetle - Chrysomela knabi. But, after looking closer Knab's Leaf Beetles have the orange/translucent border around the thorax and this one doesn't appear to have that. The markings on the back are similar to Knab's but now I'm not sure.

Please help with ID.

opinion of S.M. Clark: "probably C. knabi,
"...but the color is not normal for this species."
