I'd say the odds are small.
Little orange guys and those found on roses have some chance. BTW, if possible, include info on the host plant.

I think it's a Wamsutta Aphid.

They don't sell Wamsutta at Family Dollar store. With California having the largest distribution of aphids in the country, I'd think you'd know. Writers.
