Identification
Round shape, Pronotum usually black, sometimes with pale anterolateral angle
Elytra dark brown or black with orange or red markings as follows:
Always with lateral border; usually with small suture (midline) spots near base and rear of elytra
Range
s. CA - w. TX - Map (2) (Note, E. subrotundus is represented by stars, not open circles as Gordon indicates.)

Type Locality: El Paso, TX
