I See It, Now
Amazing how the dark spot on the male's FW makes his wings look sculpted, much like a Virginia Creeper's.

There is such a difference between the appearance of the sexes, I didn't even notice the tell-tale white crescents on the female.

Wing Shape at Outer Margin is Unusual in This Specimen
I puzzled over that for several minutes. Normally the female wing presents a well rounded, somewhat lobed appearance. This one is rather flat or almost straight by comparison. All the markings are normal, however. One problem encountered in many groups is that males and females are dimorphic and sometimes they also differ between early and late broods. When you are dealing with one of these groups there is always the suspicion that you may be looking at a sex or form of a neighboring species, and we simply do not yet have photographic examples of all these things.

Maybe a
Palthis?
Such as this Faint-spotted palthis

The wings appear to be a different shape though?
Not a species I recognise....Sorry.
