Jumping Spider brown and cream - Evarcha proszynskii

Jumping Spider brown and cream - Evarcha proszynskii
Mouth of the Elwha River, Clallam County, Washington, USA
April 22, 2009
Size: 4.5mm
This little jumper looked at first glance like the H. hirsutus I posted recently from the same location. And on this day I did see many H. hirsutus males.
But this one has a distinct pattern and a different color, no front leg flags and at least no yellow stripe on the front leg is visible in the photos.

Jumper photos -
Thanks for posting all of these nice salticid photos! Wish I could help with the ID for this one... One thing to consider is to post these sorts of pics directly to the family page, if you know it's a jumper. With the "bug season" upon us, our ID request section will explode and your images might be more likely to be seen by an expert there...

Post to Family?
I can move these to family. Will they get noticed more there or not? I just assumed that once moved, no one would normally review them. Maybe I'm wrong about that.

Opinions vary -
but no, they won't be ignored there... Many of our experts go straight to the family page rather than look through ID request. Perhaps Jay Barnes or another jumper expert can comment, but I would think that posting directly to Salticidae would be fine.

Moved
OK. I think I have all my recent jumpers moved to family. I'll post at family from now on if I'm sure where photos should go.
