Yours include a couple different stages, or instars. If you know what plant they're on, ID may be easier.

If/when you photograph the adults - they really do look like lace - try to get shots from above and from the side, showing the hood.

We have an excellent expert on these, but she doesn't visit often.

Thanks Ron. Now I need to go track down some of the adults. Accidentally got some out of focus ones underneath a C-7 ladybug one time. They're bizarre looking.
