With those orange tubercles
we're thinking maybe Orgyia detrita, in the guide here. See what you think.

Thank you, are they harmful,
Thank you, are they harmful, I heard they are but I'm not about to find out by touching.

Still rashy after a day
Not as itchy but certainly is wuite the irritant. I can only guess this little thing was crawling inside my colar for a while until I noticed it. I most likely brushed a plant it was hangin on to pick it up. We certainly have a lot a the moths around the lights in the summer and they fly in the house when the door is opened. That's the alst time I let one of these 'intersting looking' caterpillars live in the house!

rash
Wish I could help there, you can try cortisone cream for topical application along with Zyrtec as an antihistamine. This will shorten the rash time. Good luck, hope it gets better. Keep playing with the interesting ones just be more careful first.

yes its very irritating!
I just looked this thing up since it was crawling on my neck and once I noticed it had got me all in a rash. Likes to bite its way along as it walks. Funny I saw it earlier and left it alone since it looked interesting and I cant figure out how it got from where it was to where my desk is but it did anyway. Rash seems to be dissipating after about 20 minutes and is not severe but certainly not very pleasant either :/
