Moved
Moved from Eumolpinae based on Rob's comments below.

Brachyphnoea tristis
tristis for the pronotum is rounded near the base and the black legs amongst others

Moved
Moved from Leaf Beetles.

eumolpinae - Brachyphnoea
in the subfamily eumolpinae; most likely in the genus Brachypnoea

leaf beetles
Order coleoptera, family Chrysomelidae. If they were green, I'd call them Dogbane Beetles, but the light doesn't appear to show their color very well in this photo.

Beetle color
They were definitely brown shiny beetles as opposed to green. Sort of like the brown of a Japanese beetle only darker. Thanks alot for the ID.
