Selenophorus ellipticus
by gestalt having just had members of Celiamorphus fresh in my mind during one of my taxonomic study crunches.

no, Peter, sorry--
that was a bit of a messup, we're back to Selenophorus

Moved from Notiobia.

Are we back to "Notiobia"?
-- despite rather apparent serial punctures along elytral interval #3. Can we please get reassurance from determiner E.G. Riley that such apparent "punctures" shown in this image are not real? The presence of absence of such punctures carries heavy diagnostic weight in tribe harpalini. Thanks.

Selenophorus is
possible based on series of punctures along elytral interval #3 (faintly visible I believe). Extra punctures should also be along intervals #5 and #7. Discoderus also has such punctures but I'm not sure if image pronotum is broad and circular enough to fit that genus. These extra punctures, if real, would exclude Notiobia. Please cite body size when submitting images.

i can see many along the interval 5, too
thanks, Peter
