Crioceris asparagi

Crioceris asparagi
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
April 23, 2009
Size: 5.7mm
First asparagus beetle of the season here. No duodecimpunctata yet, but asparagi has found our crop. They seem to be attracted to primarily the first or second year volunteers of 2-3 mm diameter. So far the big fat spears have only attracted slugs.
