Anelaphus sp.
I'd say it's either
A. belkini
Skiles or
A. davisi
Skiles

Sticking with A. villosus ...
That can't be
A. belkini
or any other
Anelaphus
from west Texas, because, if it is, then that means that all of these similar
Anelaphus
in east Texas can not be separated.
The
Anelaphus
described by Skiles from west Texas are merely western populations of
villosus, parallelus,
etc., in my opinion. And the
Anelaphus
are in much the same way, an impossible genus to separate like the
Aneflomorpha.
Absolutely too much individual variation to pin down a species name. Taxonomists who have seen just a few dozen specimens should not be describing species based on a limited sample from a small locality. I have seen many
Anelaphus
from one side of Texas to the other, and it is an impossible task to put species names on everything.
Feel free to put my comments on bug guide.

I agree...
...with Dan's opinion in general. However, the non-emarginate elytral apices, more rounded pronotal sides, and distinct discal callosities on the pronotum give me confidence that this individual represents
Anelaphus pumilus
