Diadasia ? - Diadasia bituberculata - female

Diadasia ? - Diadasia bituberculata - Female
Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, Santa Barbara County, California, USA
April 27, 2009
Cloudy, low 60's (ºF), few bees active - save for the ubiquitous honey bees.
This bee was found resting in a poppy (Eschscholzia californica.

Wing venation and general body shape make me think this is a Diadasia. Correct or not?

Diadasia bituberculata
female

Thanks, John!
This restores a few drops of confidence in my ability to distinguish a few bees. Actually, I had hoped to see this sp. in the many Calystegia that have cropped up after the "Tea fire" of last year. Cool and overcast yesterday. Still, I had expected to see some males "sleeping" in the flowers - nada.

I'd say no.
I think this is a species of Andrena, because of the "facial foveae" that I think I can see (kind of an excavated channel along the inner eye margin). Do wait for Dr. Ascher's opinion.

I did see
what may be facial fovea, and was thinking about Andrena, but wasn't sure. Also thought about what looks more like a flatter, rather than convex vertex (though that's better seen from the front), which (if so) would also steer toward something non-Diadasia.
