Det. E. G. Riley 2009

Unexpected extreme extension of range to Texas.
An authoritative reference (1977) says known range of Onata angulicollis is Central America to South America, not Mexico. I am not familiar with this genus and I wonder how confident E.G. Riley is in this identification? Have additional such specimens been found in Texas? According to a 1993 catalog the only North American species is O. floridana, restricted to FL.
