This is one of two types that have started showing up in my house. I have seen about 6 of them since yesterday. One was almost the size of my open palm

Dolomedes scriptus
The markings on the cephalothorax and abdomen suggest
Dolomedes scriptus
. Is your house within close proximity of a river or lake? If so, that's where they are coming from. I'm not sure why they would want to get inside your house though. But as Jebus said, they're entirely harmless. Here's a link to the
