At least 4 species of Pasimachus
known in CO. Of these: P. californicus if > 29 mm body length, P. duplicatus if defined elytral striae (not visble in image). Assuming smaller than 29 mm, I favor P. elongatus because image appears to show hint (?) of bluish margins vs blackish margins in similar P. obsoletus. Please cite body length (mm) in future photo submissions.

Hi Peter,
Thanks for weighing in on it. Unfortunately back then I wasn't measuring anything, and only learned to this year. Back then just trying to keep them still long enough to get a couple photos was a chore. It definitely had bright blue margins, and the elytra are pretty smooth and glossy.
