Tipulid larva - Prionocera

Size: 26 mm
Dipnetted from a woodland pond. Keyed this out to genus Prionocera- diagnostic characters include 6 lobes surrounding the spiracle that are relatively elongate ventrally and laterally and are also fringed with hairs (not shown)
