wow, nice shot. I've never seen anything like this. There are no oecophorids this colorful, though I'm still stumped on the family, pyralid maybe.

 
Tortricid
I think this is a tortricid. It is superficially similar to Agapeta zoegana which is common in Britain.

Well,
if it helps at all I found this one in both locations in Montana... Anaconda and Thompson Falls. Although, I only saw one in Anaconda and two in Thompson Falls. Estimated size is about 13 mm.
