Erythroneura Leafhopper - Eratoneura

Erythroneura Leafhopper - Eratoneura
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
May 6, 2009
Size: 2-3mm
I was hoping I'd see this leafhopper, again. Hopefully, I'll eventually be able to ID beyond subgenus Eratoneura.

Moved

Moved
Moved from Erythroneura.

Eratoneura sp.
is what I would go with.

Moved
Moved from Erythroneura.

Erythroneura
This is the typical subgenus, differentiated from Eratoneura by the linear markings (not broken into red spots).

Cousins
This leafhopper has to be a close cousin to,

right?

Erythroneura
Trouble is, there are just so many "close cousins" ! Unlike E. beameri, the spots are more disconnected (most noticeably along the back, where a pair of spots is completely surrounded by white) as in most species in this genus.
