Round-headed Katydid - Amblycorypha oblongifolia - male

Round-headed Katydid - Amblycorypha oblongifolia - Male
Overland Park, Johnson County, Kansas, USA
July 13, 2008
Katydid, Amblycorypha ?

Kansas Insect Guide mentions an Amblycorypha hausteca, but I don't find anything like that.

I should add that it looks a lot like
A. carinata as well, but that one shouldn't be in Kansas.

Appears to be an Oblong-winged Katydid

Yes.
Male Amblycorypha. Several "new" species have been described, and I can't tell them apart myself....
