That's a great shot of the colorful compound eyes.
Curious, are you cooling these guys down and setting them up on a lightbox? I like the results you're getting. It's different.

Try setting them on white typing paper with a clear plastic
disposable bowl over the top with cutout on top and side,you get some
bounce on your flash for the overhead shot, I also use a clear plastic
vial for side shot and front,its easy to brighten them up with a white background with no shadows.
