Weevil - Pheloconus infector

Weevil - Pheloconus infector
Altamonte Springs, Seminole County, Florida, USA

Size: 4-5mm
I just recently started keeping my beetles. I don't pin them but attach them to the top of the pin with an adhesive. I find it considerably dificult to get a good picture. I have have never been able to take a good picture inside my house... hopefully this is good enough to get some kind of id :]

His comment: "A nocturnal weevil associated with aquatic habitats. Previously this genus was treated as a subgenus of Conotrachelus but has been recognized as a genus for many years."

i cropped both pix,
but it's your job -- if you want your insects IDed.
pls switch to a conventional mounting technique -- no expert would examine specimens prepared in such an unorthodox way
