Pero Moth - Pero ancetaria

Pero Moth - Pero ancetaria
Springfield, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA
May 6, 2009
Came to porch light. I believe this is genus Pero. I was guessing Honest or Hubner's. Anyone know and what is the difference in the two? Is this male or female? Thanks!

Hi J.D.; honestaria vs ancetaria?
Been poring over these 'cause I have 1 of my own I'm having a devil of a time IDing. :-) This one seems to have the 'double dip' PM line & terminal dot that you mention as characteristic of ancetaria; did you accidentally move it to the one when you meant to move it to the other?

I made a stab at entering some of your ID pointers on the main pages for the 2 sp; would be great if you could check.

Oops
I just now saw this comment (for some reason didn't get notification) and you're right ... I didn't mean to move this to honestaria. I meant to move it to ancetaria. Fixing now.
