Sitona californius (Fahraeus 1840)
Keyed from "Weevils of Canada and Alaska 2: Curculionidae-Entimimae", vol. 25 (2008) of "The Insects and Arachnids of Canada".
Diagnostic characters: distinctly biconcave apex of the rostrum, large size (4.2-6 mm) and elongate shape, and long pale elytral setae.
Appears to be found only in BC and AB in Canada, in the western and southwestern states east to Georgia and Florida.
