Winter bug - Isotoma viridis

Winter bug - Isotoma viridis
Essex, Ontario, Canada
Size: 2 to 3 mm I'd say
This thing was extremely tiny. Used a 100mm with ext. tubes to get it. Was on my pond while there was still ice on it.

Moved

Isotoma viridis
One of the typical winter-active Isotomidae.

suggest moving to...
Collembola images if you'd like someone to take this one further.

nice shot! another springtail
i'm sure you'll get a more specific ID from others, i don't know them.
[suspect a member of the fam. Isotomidae]
