Copeland, D.D. 2011. Beetles of Arizona: A Visual Guide with 230 Photos. Self published, Glendale, California. 60 pp.

Most beetles from Madera Canyon and the Santa Rita Mountains south of Tucson.

BioQuip blurb: This convenient guide provides the initial step in identifying beetles found in the Santa Rita Mountains, Huachuca Mountains and other areas in Arizona. Scientific and common names, length, and area or county location are noted for each beetle.

All insects are photographed without any shadows. This allows the focus of attention to be on the characteristics of the beetle and to avoid other background visual distractions. Many beetles have three views, i.e., top, side and front. Most of the photos are from Insects of the Southwest, also produced by Douglas Copeland.

An Illustrated Inventory of the Beetles (Coleoptera) of Lick Creek Park, College Station, Texas
By Edward G. Riley
Texas A&M University, Dept. Entomology, College Station, 2013
Welcome to the world of Lick Creek Park Beetles, ...

Introduction:

With the gracious assistance of Iowa State University Entomology, BugGuide, and the BugGuide community, I present the results of an on-going beetle (Coleoptera) inventory of Lick Creek Park, College Station, Texas. I have sampled beetle diversity at the park since 1996 employing most conceivable beetle sampling techniques.

My goals are several, but first and foremost is my desire to inventory in great detail a representative beetle fauna of the Post-Oak Savannah region of Texas. What better place to do this than at Lick Creek Park, College Station, Brazos Co., Texas. Map
