Cat - Dasychira meridionalis

Cat - Dasychira meridionalis
Venetian Garden's, Leesburg,, Lake County, Florida, USA
August 7, 2005
Need help with this one. Found near large lake on a Live Oak.

Moved

numerous clubbed black setae
wagner pg 444, so we'll move this to meridionalis

Tussock
Now that we look closely, we see the obvious tussocks, The two tufts on each end, front and back say Dasychira. Your image is almost a duplicate of one in the new Wagner (1) page 444, Dasychira basiflava, Yellow-based Tussock Moth

Thank you
for your response.
