Moth - Olethreutes clavana

Moth - Olethreutes clavana
Bolton, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
August 8, 2005

Identified as 2799 -- Olethreutes clavana by
Richard L. Brown, relayed to me by Bob Patterson.

I'm confused.
Trying to fit my Olethreutes using MPG images I don't see why this is not mysteriana. These moths are confusing.

Me too
This moth does look different than the pinned specimens on MPG.

Tortricidae
It's an Olethreutes species. Something near inornatana or mysteriana

Mysterious Olethreutes Moth
I compared it to the MPG images, and it looked like Olethreutes mysteriana to me. Thanks Dennis.

There are numerous other unidentified Tortricidae in the guide on the base Tortrix page here that could use your advice if you ever get the additional time.
