Posturing Arta Moth Arta statalis Hodges #5566? Male?

Moved
I see the difference, now.

Moved from Posturing Arta Moth.

Parachma ochracealis
Pretty sure wide shoulders and tufts on tarsi make Parachma ochracealis more likely.

What do you think
about the other two? More brown than red, wide straight "belt" across the center vs. narrow curved "belt" lower than center, large leg tufts.

One of them has an ID but they don't look like the other moths on that page (not to me any way) Not sure where they would go either.

Not Sure
I agree that the wing pattern and shape of those both look more like Parachma ochracealis. However, I don't see any tufts on the tarsi like the above image. The tufts that I do see are on the tibia. The tibia tufts, however, may be blocking the view of the tarsi but it doesn't look like it to me. So I'm not sure.

Of what I am sure is that photo #393107 was identified by Brian Scholtens who is an expert whereas I am not. I just read the descriptions and compared the DNA tested specimens here and here.

There are other possibilities. Basacalis tarachodes is found in that area and the wing pattern looks pretty good. See info, range and images here.

I'll dig some more to see if we can't get more info.

Thanks
I see what you mean about the tufts (my misunderstanding before).
Condylolomia and Ocrasa are also close, but Ocrasa seems to have bare legs and Condylolomia a "pointed face" so they are probably not it. Hmmmm...

Yes. Don't Know about Gender.
(no rsvp, thanks)
