Grass Spider ?? Technical name? - Agelenopsis
Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, USA
Size: 1/3 inch
Is this a grass spider? Huh? I never find them in the grass, they are always in a funnel web in a bush....

Moved from Funnel-Web Spiders.

Yes,
Although I'm not a expert....I'd say this is a grass spider. Agelenopsis and Agelena are the two scientific names given in my Golden Guide. I don't know the exact species of this one. They are funnel web weavers, and often make their funnels in the grass....hence the name grass spider.
