bland moth - Venusia

bland moth - Venusia
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
April 26, 2009
Size: ~2 cm wingspan
This moth was apparently feeding in the dirt on a trail in a patch of forest. I think it is a geometrid, but could not find a comfortable match beyond that. This "gray moth" seemed the most similar

Moved
Moved from Geometrid Moths.

Looks familiar but faint
Could it be 7427 Venusia obsoleta?

I see
what you mean. Genus Venusia at least.
