Specific epithet from Latin meaning "mysterious, secret."
Size
Forewing length 7.5-8.5 mm. (1)
Range
Records from Manitoba, Quebec, Vermont and Massachusetts, south to North Carolina, Kentucky and Illinois. (2)
Food
Larvae are leaf tiers of American elm (Ulmus americana) and hackberry (Celtis). (3), (1)
