I'm not sure this image adds much, but I found surprisingly few
Camponotus
photos.
This one is on a beach log. (But
Camponotus
is very common around here.)

Camponotus modoc - major worker
Beach logs seem to be especially attractive for this species, at least on the Washington coast.
