Northern Bluet - Enallagma annexum - male - female

Northern Bluet - Enallagma annexum - Male Female
Tompkin Bay, Manitoba, Canada
August 5, 2005
Size: 5 cm
I think I have this one right - Northern Bluet. Tompkin Bay is about 30 km out of Swan River, Manitoba.

I'm not an expert but,
it sure looks like a Northern Bluet to me too. Nice image by the way!

from this picture
it's not possible to say whether it's a Northern or a Boreal bluet. You need a good view of the male's cerci to be sure.

They were vey cooperative!
