Stink Bug Nymph - Mormidea lugens

Stink Bug Nymph - Mormidea lugens
Boxford, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
August 10, 2005

Moved
Moved from Perillus.

Nymph.
This is a nymph,so don't get your hopes up about an ID:-) That said, it does remind me of adults of Mormidea lugens. David Rider, if I can get him back over here, might be able to ID most of our pentatomids.

bigger version
Looks like a larger version of our little guy . Maybe someone can identify both!

Moved to genus
There are 7 Perillus species listed by Nearctica, and I think this and yours is a nymph of P. circumcinctus. But not knowing what the others look like, I'll be safe, and place this by genus.

Distinctive white ring
This was about the same size as yours, about 4mm. The white markings make these look different than the other stink bugs in here.
