Pterostichus praetermissus
known in NH also needs consideration because perpendicular image here suggests a beaded pronotal hind margin and possibly darker forelegs in a carabid that otherwise appears like P. commutablis. I may have already discussed this sibling species, recently resurrected by Bousquet (2004), somewhere on BG. Needs scoping of course for verification.

 
Pterostichus commutabilis
is easily the correct identification based on my examination of this specimen under scope. Any suggestion of P. praetermissus here is photographic aritfact. Thanks Tom.
