We've noticed the light coloration
on teneral and/or cold early morning images. We see this species has now been moved to Enallagma annexum

Tough one!
Big eyespots. How about a blue form female Northern, E. cyathigerum??

Good call
it looks exactly like the one in Dragonflies of Washington pamphlet. The only difference being that mine looks 'white and black' instead of blue and black. That could be because it was very light blue and the sun was very bright, or maybe they do vary in color all the way to white? A new species for the guide.

Also, while reading Dragonflies of Washington it gives dates for Northern as May 5 - Oct 14, while Boreal is April 15 - Oct 22.
