Leafhopper Nymph - Aplos simplex

Leafhopper Nymph - Aplos simplex
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA
May 24, 2009
I found this nymph on a lantana and thinking it's same Graphocephala species as found on the same lantana.

coincidence?
These bugs aren't even close - one is a planthopper, the other a leafhopper. The similarly colored stripes must surely be a coincidence, unless they are specialized to the same colored habitat?

Don't Know
Andy,
I shot both very close together on the same lantana. Looking at the metadata on these photos, they were shot 10 minutes apart. As I often find nymphs & adults of other insects on a plant at the same time, my logic concluded, albeit falsely, these hoppers were related.
Thanks
Robert
