A resource
I just came across a book called The Encyclopedia of Land Invertebrate Behaviour. It looks like it should be very helpful in explaining some of the behavioral "explanation requests". You can browse through it here (if that link doesn't work, try googling the title and then following the Google Books link).

Thanks, I've both added it above and requested it from our local library.

This comment also led me to look at other Books on BugGuide.

A few more
How about a link to Roosting male Hymenoptera?
There is also .
And a number of phoretic mites

I'm slugging through year by year starting with earliest posts looking for anything needing or having an explanation.

Looks like Strange Mating may end up being a separate topic :)

Any suggestions as to search words would be helpful.

Ultimately, I'd love for there to be an Explanation Request section like ID Request.
